We are pleased with your interest in our online shop. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we provide you with detailed information about how we handle your data.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You may visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time you access a website, the web server automatically stores only a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, data transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.

These access data are evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the website and improving our services. This serves, in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, to protect our legitimate interests that are preponderant in the context of a balancing of interests in a correct presentation of our services. All access data are deleted no later than seven days after the end of your website visit.

Hosting Services Provided by a Third-Party Provider
As part of processing performed on our behalf, a third-party provider furnishes us with services for hosting and displaying the website. This serves to protect our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a balancing of interests, in the correct presentation of our offerings. All data collected in connection with the use of this website or in forms provided for this purpose in the online shop, as described hereinafter, are processed on its servers. Processing on other servers takes place only within the scope explained herein.

This service provider is located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

2. Data collection and use for contract performance and contact purposes

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us in connection with your order or when you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email). Required fields are marked as such because we require this data to execute the contract or to process your inquiry, and you cannot submit your order or contact request without providing this information. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide in accordance with Article 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR for contract performance and processing your inquiries. Insofar as you have given your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR by deciding to open a customer account, we use your data for the purpose of opening the customer account. After complete performance of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted from further processing and deleted following expiration of the tax and commercial retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to further data use that is permitted by law and which we inform you of in this notice. Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be effected either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

3. Data Transfer

For performance of the contract in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sent. 1 lit. b GDPR, we transmit your data to the shipping company commissioned with delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we transmit the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, payment service providers commissioned by us, or to the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves, insofar as you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider in the ordering process with your access credentials. The data protection declaration of the respective payment service provider shall apply accordingly.

Data Transfer to Shipping Service Providers
If you have given us your express consent during or after your order, we will transfer your email address and telephone number to the selected shipping service provider on the basis of this consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a GDPR, so that the shipping service provider may contact you prior to delivery for the purpose of announcing or coordinating the delivery.

The consent may be revoked at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or directly with the shipping service provider at the contact address listed below. After revocation, we will delete the data you have provided for this purpose, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to further data usage that is permitted by law and which we inform you about in this notice.

4. Email Newsletter and Direct Mail Advertising

Email Marketing with Newsletter Registration
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to send you our email newsletter on a regular basis based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact method described below or by using a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will delete your email address unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to use your data beyond this scope, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this notice.

Email Marketing Without Newsletter Registration and Your Right to Object
If we obtain your email address in connection with the sale of goods or services and you have not objected, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar products to those already purchased from our range by email on the basis of § 7 para. 3 UWG. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising communication with our customers, which outweigh other interests in the course of a balancing of interests.
You may object to this use of your email address at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the promotional email, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs.

The newsletter is sent as part of processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we pass on your email address for this purpose.

This service provider is located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Direct Mail Advertising and Your Right to Object
Furthermore, we reserve the right to use your first and last name as well as your postal address for our own advertising purposes, such as sending interesting offers and information about our products by mail. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which outweigh other interests in the context of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

The advertising communications are provided as part of processing on our behalf by a service provider to whom we transfer your data for this purpose.
You may object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by contacting us using the contact method described below.

5. Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge

To display our Trusted Shops quality seal and any collected reviews, as well as to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers following an order, the Trusted Shops Trustbadge is integrated on this website.

This serves to protect our legitimate interests in optimal marketing by enabling secure shopping, which outweigh other interests in the context of a balancing test, in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The Trustbadge and the services advertised thereby are an offering of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne. The Trustbadge is made available in the context of contract data processing by a CDN provider (Content Delivery Network). Trusted Shops GmbH also engages service providers from the USA. An appropriate level of data protection is ensured. Further information on data protection at Trusted Shops GmbH can be found here.

When the Trustbadge is called up, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file, which also contains your IP address, date and time of access, data volume transferred, and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access. Individual access data are stored in a security database for the analysis of security incidents. The log files are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after creation.

Further personal data are transmitted to Trusted Shops GmbH if you decide to use Trusted Shops products after completing an order or have already registered for use. The contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies. For this purpose, personal data are automatically collected from the order data. Whether you as a buyer are already registered for product use is automatically checked using a neutral parameter, the email address hashed by means of a cryptographic one-way function. The email address is converted into this hash value, which cannot be decrypted by Trusted Shops, prior to transmission. After checking for a match, the parameter is automatically deleted.

This is required for the performance of our and Trusted Shops' legitimate interests, which outweigh other interests, in providing buyer protection coupled to the specific order and transactional rating services in accordance with Article 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Further details, including information on objection, can be found in the Trusted Shops privacy policy linked above and in the Trustbadge.

Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is generally not combined with other data from Google. After the purpose ceases and we discontinue the use of Google Analytics, the data collected in this connection will be deleted.
